WE ARE

We are a home for stories that touch the heart, cross generations, and build bridges across cultures.
Authentic and flagless, we believe storytelling is not a luxury but a fundamental human desire – a way to breathe, to connect, to belong.

The Journey

From various stations in my life – and inspired by a touching story I once heard about a father – the journey increasingly led me toward the founding of the publishing house.

This father, during his business trips years ago, recorded a bedtime story for his child every single evening. At that time, podcasting was still in its infancy, and he used it to send his stories back home, so that his voice would remain present and accompany his daughter into dreamland.

This story struck a deep chord within me and is intertwined with my own journey as a storyteller. Since early childhood, I have invented and written stories, creating worlds in which all my dreams unfolded – dreams that became real in my imagination, gave me strength and momentum and, in the flow of life, eventually led to the founding of the publishing house.

Starting a publishing house had never been a conscious goal of mine – quite the opposite: the mere thought of it used to frighten me. Yet the stories themselves demanded it. I had actually wanted to write about unicorns. Still, suddenly there were two rhinos: Gusta & Gusto, who wondered whether unicorns might once have been rhinos – and after whom the publishing house is named.

Perhaps Gusta & Gusto revealed to me what I had always been: not only an author but also a publisher – someone who gives stories a home. Together with a wonderful team, we keep casting our anchors, setting the sails – and with the pen as our compass, we discover worldly stories that meet us on our publishing journey.
With joy and freshness, we experience the sea – storytelling: like a gentle strand of hair in the wind.

Philosophy & Vision

Gusta & Gusto Publishing House was founded with a blend of kindness, strength, warmth, and a touch of humor. Supported by a sensitive and experienced team, we build bridges, tell stories that touch the heart, and open doors to new worlds. Integrity, authenticity, and respect are the foundation of our work. With a love for detail, we offer a diverse spectrum, including animal adventures, poetry & word mosaics, as well as historical novels and short stories.

The Signature of our Publishing House

For us, language is more than a medium — it is a space.
A space where stories can breathe, where borders open, and meanings may wander.
That is why the titles of our series remain in their original form: Gusta & Gusto, Trails & Times, Laurel & Chocolate.
They carry the soul of our publishing house — authentic, free, and flagless.
Accessible in language, yet true to its signature: literary, independent, and always open to the world.

Our Credo: Rooted locally  Resonating globally

Gusto & Gusta Publishing House

A publishing house for stories full of heart and humor – with poetry and surprises – stories from life and for life.

Boundless reading pleasure – timeless like salt.

We build bridges locally and globally, and whenever possible, with duty-free and self- determined pathways of distribution.

Stories to pause with – stories that move – discover and embrace diversity.
